John Skyler On Sunday, November 20, 2022, Winston-Salem resident Christopher Lee Manring, 22, passed away at home. Kenny Manring and Jessica Samayoa welcomed him into the world on July 31, 2000, in Forsyth County. Skyler was a proud co-owner of a household building business. He put in a lot of effort and cherished getting his hands filthy. He would always be the first to board a piece of machinery to begin a task. He really enjoyed stepping back to take in what he had just accomplished as he watched project tasks come together. Skyler also had aspirations of becoming a qualified crane operator or a professional welder.

He lived by the motto, “Work hard, play harder,” tearing up the woods on his 4-wheeler or dirt bike. He enjoyed camping or just sitting by a fire, but most of all, his number one thing to do was to go fishing! Skyler would be going down the road and he would spot a pond and say, “Let me go throw a rod real quick.” He graduated East Forsyth High, class of 2018.

He excelled academically and finished high school as a straight A student. Skyler was a great dad; he couldn’t wait until he was off work to go be with the first love of his life, his daughter Elizabeth. He would be constantly checking his watch and say only a couple of more hours until I can go see my baby girl. He was a wonderful dad, son, brother, grandson, and friend and was loved by all that knew him.

Skyler always had a shoulder to lean on if you needed him, he would always be the first one to help anyone who was struggling or had any problems. He was a very giving person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved his family and friends, and he leaves behind his memory to be cherished by them forever. Skylar is preceded in death by his grandmother, Granny Ann.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Camacho-Manring; sister, Marissa Manring; grandparents, Tommy, and Debbie Manring; maternal grandmother, Hanna Duran; uncles, Michael Duran and Tommy Manring II; cousins, Destiny, Cameron and Serenity Manring, and Michael Duran II. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Gardens of Memory Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
