Lorey James Death Obituary – LOREY James L. (Jim) Lorey took off without warning on March 4, 2004, when he was on vacation on the island of St. Simons, Georgia, which is located in the state of Georgia. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in commerce degree from Indiana University, where he also participated in the Sigma Chi fraternity and was a member. Additionally, he was a contributor to the betterment of the town. Jim was born in the town of Jasper, which is located in the state of Indiana. After working in sales for a variety of companies over the course of a lengthy career, Jim retired in 2001 from his position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dura-Line Corp.
and moved to St. Simons Island, Georgia. He had previously lived in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his retirement, Jim moved to the island of St. Simons. In the past, he had called the city of St. Augustine his home. He maintained his presence in the field of telecommunications by acting as a business consultant and giving inspirational talks. Jim was blessed with an extraordinary talent for hospitality, and he never had any trouble striking up discussions with people he had never met before. Every day, he put his ideas into action by genuinely loving and caring for other people and by encouraging them to become the best versions of themselves .
It was a lesson that he taught each and every one of us, and he did so with a smile that never left his face and that had the ability to make any space more cheerful. He taught us that the happiness that comes from loving God and our neighbor, whoever that neighbor may be, was a lesson that comes from loving God and our neighbor. He served as an elder at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was a member of the congregation. Most recently, he became a member of the St. Simons Presbyterian Church, which he joined most recently. He served as an elder at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
