Margrette D’Mello Obituary, Death – Margrette “Peggy” D’Mello, 78 years old, formerly of Olive Branch, Mississippi and currently residing in The Villages, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 15th, 2022 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, Florida. The sixth of March, 1944 found Margrette Peggy D’Mello being welcomed into the world in Quincy, Mississippi by her parents, Arnie and Lula Hardin.

On Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM, there will be a funeral service, and Father Timothy Murphy will preside over the ceremony. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM and continue until the start of the service later that same day. After the funeral, the burial will take place at the Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston, Mississippi. It is a privilege to be of service to this family at Houston Funeral Home.

During that time period, she operated her very own grocery store in Houston, Mississippi. She was a powerful, enthusiastic, and busy mother and grandmother who placed a high value on the time she spent with her family. Her hobbies included playing golf, gardening, and various board games and card games. She was an ardent member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, Florida, where she attended services regularly.

Her loved ones and friends will always remember her as a compassionate, prayerful, outgoing, and generous individual who was always prepared to provide a helping hand to those in need. Mervyn D’Mello, her devoted husband of 26 years, her sister Hazel McComic of West Point, Mississippi, her daughters Lisa Moore of Houston, Mississippi, Leah Ammons of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Noelle Denton of Saltillo, Mississippi,

her son Nathan D’Mello of Madison, Mississippi, her eight grandchildren, Randy, Hannah, Seth, Logan, Annelise, Jack, Olivia, and Scarlett, and her three great-grandchildren Braden Daniel, Her parents, Charles and Bobby Hardin, both of her brothers, and her grandson, Asher Ammons, all passed away before her.
