Mike Antell Obituary, Death – The beloved son of Michael Thomas Antell Sr. and Mary Ellen Antell, Michael Thomas “Mike” Antell, Jr. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 19, 1989. (nee Noble). On December 16, early in the morning, Mike was tragically killed in an automobile accident on his way home from work at NFL Films.

Everyone who had the wonderful pleasure to know Mike admired him. Something he was enthusiastic about helped him be and accomplish the best he could in all he did in life. The greatest of these was how much he cared for and loved his family. Because of his intense love and affection for his parents, he made an effort to emulate the intensity and dedication with which they surrounded him.

Mike had lived most of his life with his parents and when he met Becca and Caroline they were joyously welcomed into the loving arms of his parents. As soon as possible, Samuel, a baby boy, will join Becca, Mike, and Caroline in starting their own tiny family. Mike was filled with joy and held Sammy close to his heart.

As Becca’s partner, Mike made an effort to come up with novel ways to show her how much he cared, such bringing her breakfast in bed and leaving love notes on her laptop and water bottle. For Caroline, his most beloved daughter, he was the best father anyone could ever want or even imagine having. They enjoyed spending a lot of their precious time together playing sports (soccer and basketball were both their favorites), reading, practicing basketball, studying, and generally being silly, laughing, and in love. They had a special connection that was so strong Caroline will never forget it.

Mike worked hard for them and placed others before himself. Although it is difficult to fully describe Mike, some of the roles that he is most proud of playing include those of a devoted father, husband, and son, a hardworking NFL producer, a soccer assistant coach, a lover of knowledge, a talented writer, a diehard Philadelphia sports fan (especially of the Eagles), a family man, and a best friend.

Above all, Mike was a great guy who was giving, kind, and selfless. He was constantly using his exceptional mind, and because he was a writer, he frequently wrote down his thoughts. After his death, thousands of notes were found in his phone. Most of them contained gratitude for the love and people in his life. Along with philosophical ramblings, musings on literature and the arts, and even coaching advise for Caroline, his lover, he also sent love letters to Becca, Caroline, and his parents.

Mike has managed to leave us with thousands of gifts in the shape of these messages to help us get through the years we will now have to spend without his warm, energetic, and loving bodily presence. Please pray that Mike’s unshakeable hold over us all in paradise will be felt by those of us who are grieving so deeply over his passing.
