As a result of the mishap, he did not live to see another day. The watch needs to be stopped at this point.
He was in the middle of transporting a prisoner when a pickup vehicle approached him from behind and collided with the driver’s door of the transport van. The prisoner was injured. During that time, he was in the midst of moving the detainee from one location to another. The collision took place at precisely the same time as the arrival of the pickup vehicle at the scene of the accident. Deputy Kin was transported by helicopter to the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, but the doctors and nurses there were unable to save him from the effects of his injuries, and he passed away while he was a patient at the facility.
It was determined that the detainee’s injuries did not pose a threat to the individual’s life in any way, shape, or form that could lead to the individual’s passing.
