Jason Orr Obituary – Funeral services for Jason Alan Orr, who passed away at the age of 43 and resided in West Plains, Missouri, will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., and they will be directed by the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. On the afternoon of Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 12:46 p.m., Mr. Orr passed away at his house. His parents, Ray Ginder and Karen Kroening Ginder, welcomed him into the world on August 20, 1979 in West Plains, Missouri.
He wed Tara McDaniel on July 12, 2005, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The ceremony took place in Jamaica. Jason had a huge heart. It was impossible not to love him if you knew him. He loved his wife and children more than anything else in the world. It brought him so much joy to watch his daughters compete in sports, and he relished every opportunity he had to guide them along the way.
In addition to this, he cherished the time he got to spend with his daughters outside, going hunting and fishing. After nearly 25 years of service at Wal-Mart, Jason came to the realization that he wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of children and always be there for his daughters. Following the completion of his studies for a teaching degree, Jason has spent the previous two years working in the Glenwood school district as a teacher as well as a coach.
He was very active in the First United Methodist church, where he volunteered and served in many capacities. He is survived by his wife, Tara Orr, of the family home; two daughters, Ella Claire Orr and Molly Kate Orr, both of whom also reside in the family home; his parents, Ray and Karen Ginder; brother-in-law, Jeff McDaniel and wife, Brittany; grandmother-in-law, Flo McDaniel; niece, Emmy McDaniel; nephew, Hudson McDaniel; special friend, Garrett Warren; and several aunts His great-grandparents, Franklin Kroening, Carl and Wilma Lang, Leon and Alberta Orr, and Pat and Eunice Ginder, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rick and Bonnie McDaniel.
His grandfather-in-law, E. J. McDaniel, and a cousin named Ryan McDaniel, all passed away before him. On Thursday, visitation services will be held in the Langston Street Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Howell Memorial Park Cemetery will be the location of the interment. Donations in memory of Molly and Ella Orr may be given to the Molly and Ella Orr Account at West Plains Bank & Trust Co. and may be left at or mailed to the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, located at 211 West Main Street in West Plains, Missouri 65775.
