John Ahl Obituary, Death – Richard John Ahl Jr., age 52, lost his battle with lung cancer on Friday, December 2, 2022. He had been battling the disease for more than a year. On June 19, 1970, Richard Ahl was born to his parents, Richard and Karen (Sizemore) Ahl. In Lambertville, Michigan, he spent his childhood alongside his sibling Michael “Mike” Ahl, as well as his sisters Nanette Massy and Lena (Jeff) Lynch.

He participated in football and wrestling throughout his school years, and fishing was one of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed other sports. He moved to Florida with his brother but didn’t stay there for long before returning to his family in their hometown. During the time when his parents were going through a divorce, he took care of his sick father, Richard Sr., and raised him as his own. Jessie Ahl, his lovely daughter, became the source of his greatest delight once he fulfilled his dream of being a parent.

At Ford Motor Company, where he worked both on the assembly line and as a test driver for Mustangs for a period of time, he was a Mustang test driver. After learning that his mother, Karen, was ill, he took care of her and remained by her side till the very end of her life. In order to attend the wedding of his godchild in France, he overcame his fear of flying and made the trip. He went back multiple times and developed a strong attachment to his niece’s kid, Olivia, on one of these stays.

Richard was an excellent cook who also had a passion for delicious food. He was known to be quite kind and forgiving to others. His loved ones and friends will grieve his passing in a profound way.
