Krista Powers Death, Obituary – As a direct result of learning of Krista Powers’ passing, the members of the Riverview Skating Club are currently suffering from a condition of melancholy as a direct consequence. This depressed condition that I’m in (McNichol). Krista was an engaged member of the RSC for the entirety of her life and made several contributions to the organization’s myriad of endeavors. She began her career as a skater at a young age and stayed involved in our figure skating programs throughout the course of her scholastic career. Her professional skating career began when she was just a child.
After Krista’s own personal career as a competitor came to an end, she continued to be active in the sport for a number of years by serving in positions such as reviewing and judging contests. This kept her connected to the industry. It was because of this that she was able to keep her connection to the business. She did this as one of the ways she maintained her presence in the industry and kept her foot in the door. She was well-known among the skaters from Riverview, both on the days of the competitions and during the process of getting ready for them, for offering comments that were both enjoyable and helpful to those who heard them.
