Michael Hanratty Death, Obituary – On December 20, 2022, Hanratty (Newry) Michael, Jayden’s loving grandfather, passed away at home in peace. He was pleased to have the roles of loving grandfather to Jayden, loving father to Gary, Mark, and Daniel, and loving husband to Mina. He was treasured as a brother by Christine (Toner), Janie (Treanor), Eugene, Josephine (Maguire), Jim, and the late Rita, Mary, Paddy, Kathleen, Frank, and Brendan. His parents, James and Peggy, passed away before he was born.
Before him, James and Peggy both passed away. Michael used to live in Cross but is now a resident of 13 Drumalane Road. I sincerely believe that he will find comfort and peace in paradise. Michael’s mortal remains will be interred in his former house on Wednesday from 4 pm to 9 pm and on Thursday from 1 pm to 9 pm for the duration of these viewing hours. At Drumalane’s Church of the Assumption, both the Requiem Mass and the funeral services will be held on Friday.
The funeral services will begin at 11.15 a.m., and the Mass will begin at 11.30 a.m. The burial will take place at St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Kilcurry, County Louth, following the conclusion of the service. On Friday mornings, the house is off limits to anyone who is not a member of the immediate family. I beg you to invite St. Anthony to make his case. He will be sorely missed by his grieving wife, kids, and grandson, as well as by the rest of his family, which also includes his siblings, brothers, and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces. Flowers will only be accepted at the Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors site at 53 Patrick Street, Newry, Northern Ireland BT35 8EB from immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Southern Area Hospice.
