Bernie Smith Death, Obituary   – We would like to take this opportunity to offer our most sincere condolences to everyone on the passing of Bernie Smith. In light of Bernie Smith’s loss, we would like to take this time to express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers. This morning, Bernie, who was 61 years old, died away in a peaceful and calm manner, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a soft-spoken and unassuming man. For some time, he had been coping with the effects of his disease. Our deepest sympathies go out to the departed’s wife, Helen, as well as to their three children, Patrick, Rebecca, and Martin.

We are sorry for your loss.Bernie has been an integral component of the Mosman Cricket Club for the past two decades, making his presence there absolutely necessary. During the period that he has been there, more than twenty decades have passed. During the 21/22 season, the 1st grade team and the 2nd grade squad both won their respective premierships as a direct result of his contributions to the club’s expansion and improvement efforts. In other words, his efforts directly led to the club’s success. All of these victories came during the course of the same season.

Bernie began his administrative career at the cricket club working his way up through the ranks until he eventually held practically every position that was available. It has only been six years since he started his career at the MCC as the manager of the Green Shield, but in that time he has worked his way up through the ranks to become Secretary, Treasurer, and President of the organization. His rise through the ranks occurred despite the fact that the MCC has only been around for sixty years. Despite the fact that the MCC has only been established for the past six years, he has managed to work his way up through the ranks.

Bernie Because you were the head of our group and because you set such a high standard for everyone else in the group to adhere to, we all looked up to you and respected you immensely. Because you will be sorely missed by everyone in the cricketing community, there is little doubt that thoughts of you will cross the minds of its members on a reasonably regular basis. Vale Bernie Smith 1961-2022
