LOUIS studied Acting at SUNY Purchase College, the State University of New York at Purchase, and at the State University of New York at Oswego. Dexter went to Patchogue-Medford High School. I was put through a lot of emotional turmoil when I found out that Dexter Jones had passed away. It was a really terrible and distressing occasion for me.
It has been thirty years since he participated in the production of A Chorus Line that was put on by the Metropolitan Opera on this exact stage. This production was presented here at the Metropolitan Opera. He was endowed with an exceptional degree of both talent and vitality, and both were present in equal proportion in his possession. Dexter, may your dying finally offer you the serenity and contentment that you’ve been searching for this whole time. The revelation that our handsome, bright, witty, charming, etc.
One has passed away and has caused me a significant amount of pain, but I have come to the conclusion that this is a fact. Despite my feelings of loss, I have accepted that this is the situation. This is an assertion about which I have no reason to cast doubt. Dexter Jones, may he be having a wonderful time wherever he is dancing right now, complete with elegance and love. May he be having this experience wherever he is. My friend, it has been both a privilege and an honor to have had the opportunity to get to know you.
And I pray that the light that emanates so brilliantly from within you is never extinguished. Both Janelle and Dexter have a variety of marks on their bodies, some of which are black and others which are blue. Some of Janelle’s marks are blue, and some of Dexter’s are black. You have such a generous and thoughtful disposition. We are going to miss having him here with us since it has been a wonderful experience overall having him with us.
