Michael Riley Death, Obituary – Michael Riley, who had worked in the Fire Department for the City of St. Augustine in the past, died away not too long ago, and it is with a heavy heart that we share the news of his passing with you at this time. Michael had served in the Fire Department for the City of St. Augustine. Before Michael arrived at this point in time, he had spent the preceding twenty years working for the Fire Department of the City of Orlando in a variety of positions. Before Michael arrived at this point in time, he was a Lieutenant.
Following his retirement from the military after having served for a total of twenty years, Michael worked as a firefighter with the St. Augustine Fire Department for the subsequent eight years until his retirement. During this period, he made the shift into the positions of guide and instructor for the groups that he had been affiliated with in the past. The sad series of events that culminated in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease with early onset ultimately led to his mortality not long after the disease was determined to be the root cause of his demise.
Michael displayed his expertise while working as a devoted employee for the fire department, where he was well-known for the professionalism he displayed in the course of his work. During this trying time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Riley family, and we want them to know that we are thinking about them and that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
We owe them a debt of gratitude for the consistent support they have shown Michael over the years and for the fact that they made it possible for him to spend his life doing what he treasured the most, which was to assist other people.
