Nell GrahamĀ  Death, Obituary – Nell Graham, who has served as the Coordinator of the Parramatta River Catchment Group (PRCG) for the past three and a half years, has decided to step down from her position. It is with the deepest sorrow that we bid farewell to Nell Graham. During her entire tenure with the PRCG, Nell has been responsible for executing the duties associated with this role. Everyone who knew Nell will miss her tremendously.
During the period that she has spent working for the PRCG, Nell has been an invaluable asset to the accomplishment of a number of key Masterplan activities, making her contributions absolutely essential to the achievement of this goal.

These initiatives are comprised of three separate projects: the Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) audit, the Designing with Country for the Parramatta River watershed project, and the Bayview Park swim site launch. All three of these projects are now underway. Nell has also been an active member of the PRCG ever since the group was first established in 2013. In addition to this, Nell has made substantial contributions to the Greater Sydney Harbour Coastal Management Program as well as the Regional Litter Prevention Strategy. Both of these programs aim to reduce litter in their respective regions. These two programs have the same overarching goal: cutting down on the amount of litter in their respective areas.

During the difficult lockdown periods brought on by COVID-19, Nell served as the leader of the PRCG and developed innovative strategies to retain interaction with our member agencies and the community. These strategies included the employment of online meetings and webinars. The PRCG has reaped many benefits as a result of Nell’s contributions due to her boundless energy, infectious zeal, and comprehensive understanding of river management, biodiversity, and sustainable practices; however, the group will deeply mourn her passing due to the fact that she had such a comprehensive understanding of these topics. We are ecstatic for her and would like to send her our warmest congratulations as she takes on her new responsibilities.
