Wally Green Death, Obituary – Early in the week, it was learned that Wally “Watcher” Green had passed away, and as a direct consequence of this, the Auckland Rugby League is currently in a state of mourning as a direct result of this. They were informed of it earlier in the week when it was relayed to them. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our most sincere condolences to Wally Green’s immediate family as well as to his wider whanau pani. We are deeply sorry for the loss you have suffered. Our deepest condolences go out to you on account of the tragedy that has befallen you.
Wally’s playing career was highlighted by his enthusiasm for the sport of rugby league, for which he was picked to represent both his side and the Auckland Rugby League. As a result of this devotion, Wally was selected to play for both the Auckland Rugby League and his own team. Additionally, Wally played for the New Zealand national rugby league team during his time in the country. Because of the dedication that Wally had toward both the Auckland Rugby League and his own team, he was given the opportunity to participate in games for both organizations.
Wally handled a wide variety of various representative teams during the decade that encompassed the 1990s, and he served in this capacity for each of the several representative teams that he was in charge of during that time period. It was established that one of these teams consisted of the Auckland group. After Wally handed in his resignation, he was so intent on maintaining a high level of activity that he applied for and was offered a post as the keeper of Cornwall Park for a number of years. This choice was made by him prior to his retirement.
This alternative was provided to Wally as a choice for him because of his desire to keep his level of physical activity at a high level. He did this to ensure that he would always be able to get enjoyment from his surrounds in the natural world, and he accomplished this by ensuring that he would constantly do this. In addition to that, during the course of his life, he has volunteered his time and services in the kitchen of the ARL Jets Camps Hunua as part of an attempt to offer both his time and resources to the cause. This is a fantastic effort, both in terms of time and resources, that has been made on his behalf. Please accept my sincere gratitude.
