Christie Wilt Obituary, Death – Christie Jo “Chrissy” Wilt, 41, passed away on December 21, 2022, at 6:25 p.m. at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, where she had been a patient the day before. She passed away surrounded by her family. Christie was born on January 21, 1981, to Paul Allen and Carolyn Rose “Rosie” Erbaugh Whittington, Jr. in Clinton County, Ohio. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications as well as a master’s degree from The Ohio State University’s College of Agriculture after graduating from East Clinton High School in 1999.

She was the Miami Trace Local School District’s Credit Flex Director at the time. At the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church, Christie belonged. She was still interested in her kids’ 4-H pursuits and had previously served as the Blue Ribbon Champs 4-H Club advisor. She delighted in taking part in regional, national, and local cow exhibitions. She was an expert gardener and loved flowers. She really enjoyed driving her jeep on bright days with the top down.

However, helping others and making sure her pupils graduated from high school were her main passions. She generously donated her body to the Lifeline of Ohio organ and tissue donor program as her last kind deed. She lost her mother on December 22, 2020. Both of her paternal grandparents, Paul A. Whittington, Sr., and her maternal grandparents, Harold and Flora Rose Erbaugh, passed away before she was born. Her father, Paul A. Whittington, Jr. of Sabina, her three children, August Whittington “Gus” Wilt, Jocie Lynn Wilt, and Clinton Matthew Wilt, as well as her four sisters—Carrie Hogue of Circleville, Candie Glover of Marion, IL, and Cassie Whittington of Grandview, OH—all survive her.

She wed Matthew L. “Matt” Wilt on September 21, 2002. A memorial service will be held at the Mahan Building of the Fayette County Fairgrounds on Saturday, January 14, 2023. When the information is complete, Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House will make it public. Contributions to the Christie J.
