Kristin Vollero Obituary, Death – Kristin Toscano Vollero, 1975–2022, age 47, of North Haven, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born in New Haven on March 7, 1975, the daughter of Joseph and Santa Toscano, who were both from North Haven. She was the mother of Salvatore Vollero, Jr.’s two wonderful daughters, Alexandria and Victoria, and his loyal and affectionate wife. After Sacred Heart Academy, where she completed her high school education, she attended Assumption College, Southern Connecticut State University.
And Sacred Heart University, where she obtained a master’s degree and a diploma in administrative studies. She had teaching positions at St. Bernadette Parochial School, Wallingford Public Schools, North Haven Public Schools, and New Haven Public Schools. She cherished her roles as a teacher, a leader, and the principal of Pond Hill Elementary School in Wallingford. Her family’s unflinching love and support throughout her sickness will always be appreciated by the Pond Hill Elementary Education professors and staff as well as the whole Wallingford school system.
The family also wants to thank Kristin’s many friends and coworkers for their support and comfort at this incredibly difficult time. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and a supporter for her two daughters, Victoria and Alexandria. She spent a great deal of time watching their basketball, tennis, and lacrosse matches. She and Sal encouraged the daughters to perform well in school and to conduct morally. Kristin is also survived by her godparents Thomas and Annette Toscano of New Jersey in addition to her father and mother-in-law Salvatore and Marie Vollero of East Haven.
Visitation will take place at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. in New Haven, which is situated at 11 Wooster Place, on December 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to assemble at the Church of the Resurrection, situated at 115 Pond Hill Road in Wallingford, on Thursday morning at 10:00 am. The next location for burial is the All Saints Mausoleum.
