Jesse Greer Obituary, Death – Jesse E. Greer has passed away. Although Jesse was raised in Bassett, Virginia, he was actually born in Henry County, Virginia. Both of his parents, Reggie Greer and Betty H. Greer, passed away before he was even born. He was their son. He spent more than 40 years working for American Furniture of Martinsville, rising through the ranks to become the company’s director of quality control. While he was serving his country, he was active in the Fort Trial Baptist Church and the National Guard.

Jesse had a variety of interests, but his favorites were fishing, bowling, and carpentry. He cherished spending time with his family because he was wholly dedicated to them, especially his wife and children. More than everything, he adored his grandchildren and kept up with all of their activities, particularly their participation in sports. Before Jesse Greer passed away, his wife Charlotte, his siblings Mary Frances Greer, John Wayne Greer, Clarence Eugene Greer, James Edward Greer, and Franklin “Frank” Clifford Greer all died. The first members of the family to pass away were both of Jesse’s parents.

The survivors of Jesse Cunningham include his grandchildren Christopher A. Cunningham, Alexis Henderson (Kyle), Colin, Colby, Kaylee Paige, and Braxton Lee Cunningham, as well as his sister Shirley Ann Radford (James) and sister-in-law Patsy Greer. His parents, Cynthia G. Cunningham and Jeffrey Lee Greer are still alive. Another person Jesse leaves behind is Shirley Ann Radford, who is his sister. Shirley Ann Radford is another person left behind by Jesse.

A memorial service in honor of Jesse will be held at the Fort Trial Baptist Church in Stanleytown, Virginia, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The church is located at 170 Oak Level Road. Reverends Tony Beach and Daniel Reed will officiate the event, respectively. Roselawn Burial Park will be the site of the burial. The family will be ready to meet and greet visitors at the church on Wednesday from noon to one o’clock in the afternoon.
