Michael Head Obituary, Death – On the afternoon of December 22, 2022, shortly after 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, troopers with the Louisiana State Police Troop A started investigating a two-vehicle collision that had taken place on LA 928 east of LA 74 in Ascension Parish. The collision had taken place on LA 928 in Ascension Parish. The accident had occurred on Louisiana State Highway 928 in Ascension Parish. Michael Head, who was from Geismar and was 62 years old at the time of the accident, sadly did not survive the incident and passed away as a result of it.
According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, Head was operating a 2014 Cadillac SRX in the westbound direction of LA 928 at the time that the incident took place.
A Toyota 4-Runner model year 2013 was also present in addition to the other vehicle, which was also traveling eastbound on LA 928 at the same time as the other vehicle. Head crossed the center line, entered the eastbound lane, and was involved in a head-on collision with a 4-Runner for reasons that are currently unknown. The investigation into what took place is continuing on at this very moment in time. Due to the severity of the injuries that Head sustained, he was unable to pull through the accident and ended up passing away at the scene of the collision. At the time of the accident, Head was not wearing a safety belt as required by the law.
The driver of the Toyota 4Runner sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital after being safely restrained and transported there. He or she was treated for their injuries after arriving at the hospital. After arriving at the hospital, the person was examined and received treatment for their injuries. The two drivers each gave a breath sample to be used for toxicology as part of the ongoing investigation, and those samples are currently being prepared for submission for examination once they have been processed. At this point in time, the investigation is still being carried out. At this point in time, the factors that led up to this collision have not been determined.
According to the findings of a number of studies, the likelihood of a person being injured or killed as a direct result of being involved in a collision is significantly decreased when restraints are utilized in an appropriate and correct manner and are worn at all times. This is the case even if the person is involved in the collision. However, it is impossible to avoid every collision and come out unscathed. It is against the law in the state of Louisiana for anyone to be in a moving vehicle without their seat belt fastened at all times. This law applies to both passengers and drivers. Everyone is required to comply with this law, irrespective of the location of where they are sitting.
One of the most efficient ways to protect one’s life and lessen the severity of injuries sustained as a result of being involved in a collision is to always wear one’s seat belt in the appropriate manner. This is one of the most effective ways to protect one’s life and lessen the severity of injuries sustained. We ask that you make it a top priority during the upcoming holiday season to have a conversation with the people you care about about the significance of always fastening your seatbelt while traveling.
