Virginia Rossok Death, Obituary – Virginia Ann Rossok passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the age of 90. She was getting Hospice Care at the time of her passing at the Valley Hi Nursing Home in Sandwich/McHenry, Illinois. She called the Sandwich/McHenry area of Illinois home throughout her life. She was born on August 19, 1932 in Peru, Illinois, and her parents were Louis Czerny and Victoria (Nazim) Czerny. She was the oldest of their three children. The importance of family was emphasized to an extraordinary degree in Virginia. Recently, she had the opportunity to visit with a large portion of her family.
Including her kids, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. She devoted her life to helping others in any way that she could, whether it was by giving rides to friends, baking for events (especially for her church, St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sandwich, IL), sending cards whenever it seemed like the occasion called for it, or attending the Fatima Group on a weekly basis. She did all of these things. She also attended the Fatima Group on a weekly basis. She was responsible for all of these occurrences.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cheri (Robert) Hlavin and Penny (Paul) Krieg, both of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Woodstock, Illinois, as well as her six grandchildren. Both of her daughters are married to men who live in Arizona. Jennifer (John) Zwarich and Kathryn (Will) Cvengros both of Ellicott City, Maryland; Brian (Lauren) Vosicky and Cara (Nick Ahn) Krieg, both of South Abington Township, Pennsylvania; Ellyn (Andrew) Weiner and Laura (Michael) Cardosi, both of Woodstock, Illinois; and great grandchildren Alex, Bridget, Natalie, and Jack all of Woodstock, Illinois;
Before Virginia did, both of her great grandsons, Jackson and Logan Cardosi, as well as her parents, six of her brothers, four of her sisters, and the father of her children, Paul Rossok, all passed away. The funeral liturgy that will be held on Thursday, December 29th, 2022 at 10:30am will take place at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich, Illinois. The date and time of the event have not yet been determined. After then, the event will go on to the subsequent location, which is the Peru City Cemetery in Peru, Illinois.
