Elaine Hamilton Death, Obituary – We’re sorry to be the one to break the news to you, but on December 23, my mother Elaine Hamilton lost her fight against lung cancer. It’s with great regret that I have to share this information with you. As I make this statement, I am entirely overcome with an overwhelming sense of melancholy. She battled bravely all the way up until the very conclusion of the struggle, despite the fact that she did not receive any injuries while the battle was going on. We kindly ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Her children, Jacob (Robin), Lauren, and Matthew (Michelle), as well as her grandkids, Jessica, Emily, Seth, and Julia, and her sister, Marcella, will always remember their mother with a feeling that is both warm and kind forever. Her many friends, especially Patti, Sandi, Eileen, and Gretchen, who will miss her deeply and think of her with affection in the days and years to come, will always remember her and always think of her. Elaine’s life was packed to the gills not only with adventures, but also with happiness. She discovered that some of the activities that helped her relax and unwind were things like reading a good book, making art, making her house more beautiful, spending time with the people who were important to her, and having a wonderful time with her friends.
Elaine, a woman who brought up her children on her own, put in a lot of work and made a lot of sacrifices so that she could take care of her family. She did this so that she could provide for them. Throughout the course of her professional life, she worked in a variety of settings, including Swarthmore College, Scott Paper, and Widener University, amongst others.
