Kanida Phanthourath  Obituary, Death – On December 13, 2022, a female pedestrian was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Durkin Drive near Lawrence Avenue in Springfield. The location was near the Lawrence Avenue neighborhood. The location was close to the community located along Lawrence Avenue. It has been determined who the victim was, and it has also been established that she did not survive the injuries that she received and died as a result of those injuries. Jim Allmon, who is currently serving as the coroner for Sangamon County and is employed by the local government of that jurisdiction, was the one who made the identification. At 5:54 in the morning on December 14, 2022, the staff at Springfield Memorial Hospital broke the news to Kanida Phanthourath’s family that she had passed away earlier that morning.

There was no information provided regarding the time or date of her passing. Kanida Phanthourath was a native of the city of Springfield and was 33 years old at the time of this writing. An autopsy was performed on Ms. Phanthourath this morning, and the preliminary findings suggest that she died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries sustained in a collision between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. Ms. Phanthourath was involved in the collision between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. Following the examination of her body, the findings indicate that she most likely passed away this morning. This morning, the autopsy was performed, and this morning, the initial findings were found. Both of these events took place this morning.
