Mike was born in New Orleans and raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana. In 1960, he graduated from Bogalusa High School with a diploma. During his four years of active duty, he received training in radio and radar electronics. He had rendered valiant service in the Air Force. After his service, he worked as a checkout technician on the S-18 rocket program for four years at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans (Project Gemini). After that, he agreed to a job offer from Seiscom Delta, where he would conduct seismic research in both domestic and foreign waters.

After returning to Louisiana, he enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he earned a degree in industrial management technology. He worked at Erico Production for seven years as a sales engineer and lightning protection specialist. Later, Mike changed directions in his career and entered the auto sector, where he had positions as general manager and joint owner of dealerships in Slidell, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and Alexandria.

Prior to his retirement, he spent 12 years as a representative for ACC, Inc., a business that specializes in power distribution applications and highly specialized motor controllers. Mike enjoyed exploring new places, playing golf, and doing duck hunting. The New Orleans Pelicans, LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints were all teams he was an ardent follower of. He treasured his family above everything else, and he delighted in preparing Sunday supper for them. He will be sadly missed by his countless friends and family.
